I recently completed this site redesign for Chai at Back to Curly. And, gasp – this isn’t an art or craft site!

Chai sent me a vintage picture that she loved and a few sites that she liked the design of. Then set me loose! The picture had such an amazing color scheme and was so evocative that the whole design was really taken from there. On this one, I did everything from the logo design to the code. I really love the way it turned out.

i’m thrilled to let you know that i have a new site launching today. well, it’s my work but it’s stephanie corfee‘s site! she did an amazing job coming up with a site design that was both innovative and communicates her aesthetic.

this was an challenging project for me because it dealt with playing in layers instead of everything being two dimensional as it is with most sites. i’ll definitely be using that technique more in the future.

i’m really fortunate to own several stephanie corfee prints. if you need a little spot of happy on your wall or on a shelf, i highly recommend taking advantage of her launch sale: buy any print, get a 5×7 of your choice free. now through february 26.
